Ham & High readers have shared their favourite winter walks, with the Vale of Health, Hampstead Ponds, and Gospel Oak among the top choices.

One reader revealed his love for the Vale of Health, while another said they enjoyed a stroll from "Hampstead Ponds through to Kenwood via back lane".

On the other hand, reader Phil Tyndall recommends the path from Gospel Oak, in front of the ponds, to Kenwood House.

Mr Tyndall said: "I often met Michael Palin up there."

Celebrities like Sir Michael Palin and Harry Styles live in Hampstead, with Styles often spotted on the Heath.

Harry Styles was spotted at Hampstead Heath's men's pond in September.

While the region usually sees a surge of visitors during hot weather, the cooler winter months offer a quieter period.

Underscoring the tranquillity of Hampstead, Glenn Calderwood may have undermined his own wishes when he said: "Obviously the pergola in any season, but don't tell anyone as it is best enjoyed in solitude."

If stunning views is what you are looking for on your walk, head to Parliament Hill viewpoint, or further afield, Primrose Hill is said to be one of the best winter walking spots in London.

So, if you fancy a stroll, a view and maybe a celebrity sighting, you know where to head to this winter in Hampstead.

Who knows? You might run into a familiar face on your walk.
