HOW LONG HAVE YOU WORKED IN FINCHLEY ROAD?

I got my first job working part-time as a cashier at Sainsbury's Finchley Road when I was 16 and just about to start my A-Levels. Five years on I still work for Sainsbury's as the store events and community coordinator. The aim is to help stores build closer relationships with the local community, and involve our customers and staff more with fun events in store.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE LOCAL PUB?

I'd find it hard to choose between Wetherspoons in the O2 Centre and 3one7 on Finchley Road. We always end up in Wetherspoons for someone's leaving do or a quick one after work while 3one7 has played host to some memorable Sainsbury's parties.

WHO WAS THE LAST CELEBRITY YOU SAW IN THE AREA?

Rhydian Roberts, runner up from the X-Factor, came in to Sainsbury's to do his shopping a few weeks before the finals. He was so modest and an absolutely lovely man. He taught me how to say thank you and good luck in Welsh.

WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING AT THE MOMENT?

Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. My friend John and I were discussing the Da Vinci Code on Christmas Eve and he told me I should read Angels and Demons because it's even better. As I was about to go home he found me and handed me a bag with the Angels and Demons book inside. He had rushed out to get it for me at the end of lunch. I was so surprised and so touched. I'm only a few pages in, but I'm sure I'll be hooked by the end of the week.

4x4 OR PUBLIC TRANSPORT?

Definitely public transport. Just grabbing your Oyster card and hopping on the bus or catching the tube is the easiest way to get around and it doesn't have as huge an impact on the environment. I'm very passionate about finding small ways to help preserve the environment. I wish more people would re-use carrier bags for example. It's not hard to just fold up a few bags to put them in your handbag before you go shopping or to keep in the boot of the car, and if everyone did it, it would hugely reduce the amount of waste plastic sent to landfill.

WHERE WAS YOUR LAST HOLIDAY?

I went to Hong Kong and Shanghai in June with my mum. We have family in both places, as my mum is Chinese. I know Hong Kong pretty well as we have been going on holiday there regularly for as long as I can remember and despite some people's views that it's overcrowded, I love the everyday hustle and bustle in the busy streets. The shopping is fantastic, especially the night markets. It was only my second visit to Shanghai, so I don't know the city as well as Hong Kong, but I really enjoy soaking up the culture of a new place.
