What do you like most about working in West Hampstead?

I enjoy the mix of people and the local community. Everyone I have met seems incredibly keen for our new community association to succeed. Although there are going to be some issues over the next few months, the transport is also very good.

What is the worst thing about the area?

In general, I have liked everything I have seen in the areas. However, there do seem to be a lack of leisure activities. Hopefully, I can help change this as we set up a new community centre.

Which local building is your favourite?

I really like Emmanuel Church on West End Lane. It is very imposing and fits in well with the surrounding area. I have a soft spot for church buildings and architecture in general, especially the huge ceilings and stained glass windows.

What's the first thing you would you do if you were mayor for the day?

Not sure really... I don't know what the mayor does on a day-to-day basis. I would probably have a nose-around the city hall and see if there was anything juicy to be found.

DO YOU HAVE A favourite local restaurant?

I haven't been to many yet but I have really enjoyed eating in the Kitchen Table on Mill Lane. I especially like their bacon sandwiches for breakfast.

What is your favourite West Hampstead Anecdote?

I don't have too many anecdotes at the moment as I have only been here for a couple of months. The area does seem really nice and there seems to be a real sense of community and everyone has been really positive about the work that Community Association for West Hampstead are trying to do here.

do you have any tips for anyone moving to the area?

I would suggest that they come along to our new community centre when it is up and running!
