Internationally acclaimed musicians and comedians make up an eclectic season of Sunday performances and events at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre for 2010.

Between June and September 2010, the Open Air Theatre will welcome Stacey Kent, Martha Wainwright and Seth Lakeman along with comedians David O'Doherty, Stephen K Amos and the Comedy Store Players. For the first time, the Open Air Theatre will use the unique and magical venue to screen a film - Walt Disney Picture's epic fantasy adventure Alice in Wonderland. They will also host a special evening with gardening legend Monty Don who will bring stories, anecdotes and Q&A with friends and guests.

MUSIC

World class Jazz singer Stacey Kent will perform on 13 June 2010. A recent addition to the Blue Note roster of recording artists, Stacey now boasts seven best-selling albums. The Boy Next Door achieved Gold status and her 2007 album Breakfast on the Morning Tram was nominated for a Grammy Award last year and went Platinum in France. The album tour saw Stacey perform in 27 different countries. Her much anticipated new album, Raconte-moi will be released on EMI's Blue Note Records this spring.

The daughter of folk legends Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle and sister of the acclaimed Rufus, Martha Wainwright (with special guests) will debut at the Open Air Theatre on 29 August 2010. With a hugely expressive voice and an arsenal of powerful songs, Martha Wainwright is a beguiling entertainer and a refreshingly different force in music. Bursting onto the scene in 2002, Martha has since worked with, and supported artists from Snow Patrol and Cyndi Lauper to Van Morrison and Sean Lennon.

On 5 September 2010, Seth Lakeman, who now stands as a true inspiration to the current new crop of emerging folk artists, returns to the Open Air Theatre armed with a collection of spellbinding songs from his highly anticipated new album Hearts and Minds. His 2006 album Freedom Fields sold over 100,000 copies in the UK alone and helped Seth build on his cult following, finding a whole new audience for his rhythmic brand of indie-folk song. Previously winning both Folk Singer of the Year and Album Of The Year at the prestigious Radio 2 Folk Awards, Seth and his band continue to deliver a captivating live show, with a rhythmic, raw energy seldom seen in any other acoustic band.

COMEDY

The Open Air Theatre will welcome the Comedy Store Players on 4 July 2010 where six brave performers arrive with no script and not the faintest idea of what will happen. Through improvisation they create whole sketches and comic dramas that are amazingly inventive and take off into flights of surreal brilliance.

The 2008 if.comedy award-winning comedian, David O'Doherty will bring his second UK tour to the Open Air Theatre on 18 July 2010. A regular guest on 8 of 10 Cats, O'Doherty blends music and comedy together in his latest show DAVID O'DOH-PARTY.

Legendary comedian Stephen K Amos promises to bring more fun, warmth, bonhomie and love than ever before as he performs his latest show at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre on 25 July 2010, fresh from a sold-out 74 date UK tour including two nights and London's Hammersmith Apollo. Stephen K Amos: The Feel Good Factor, will be released on DVD by ITV Studios Home Entertainment later this year.
