Livingstone Studio in Hampstead is holding a selling exhibition of original work by legendary textile designers Collier Campbell. It's of covetable painterly hand-brushed scarves, each with a unique design. They are made from diaphanous silk which makes the brilliant summery colours shimmer.

Since the early 1960s, Susan Collier and her sister Sarah Campbell have been prolific designers of printed fabrics for home furnishings and clothing. They hand-paint the original designs, using fluid brushstrokes in vibrant colours for distinctive motifs.

Susan is a keen gardener who has opened her south London garden for the National Open Gardens scheme for many years. There has been a strong emphasis on rich floral patterns in Collier Campbell designs but the geometrical Bauhaus was a popular choice for modern interiors in the 1970s.

More than £30 million worth of fabric in one of their best loved patterns from the 80s, Gypsy Dance, has sold at retail outlets, including Liberty and Heal's. Collier Campbell's innovative textiles are in many prestigious public collections, such as the V&A, Cooper Hewitt Museum of Design and the Museum of London.

A Celebration of Colour is at 36 New End Square, NW3, until August 9. Tuesdays to Fridays 10.30am to 6pm, Saturday 11am to 6pm.
