The flaxon ptootch gallery on Kentish Town Road has announced a new line-up for its 2009 monthly exhibition calendar.
The first public preview evening on Thursday features Benjamin Buckley, Luke Kulchstein and Dawes Gray.
The eclectic line-up of artists for 2009 includes: illustration (Benjamin Jasper Buckley, Gurdish Haugsdal, Mischa Kachelhoffer, Joe Whitney), painting (Ann Baranova, Blanka Tubel, Mark Wydler, Paul van Gelder), sculpture and 3D installation (Carrie Reichardt, Nick Reynolds), award-winning cartoon (James Hood), screen print (Luke Kulchstein), etching (Dawes Gray), graffiti art (Mr P), graphic art (Sam Bevington), collage (Heather Morris), photography (Douglas Cape, Huck and Joe Whitney, Chutney Bannister, Peter Herbert, Tracey Dean), whatever it is that you call what Amanda Wasielewski does (Amanda Wasielewski) and a z360 video installation.
Public preview evenings will run from 7pm until 9pm on the second Thursday of every month throughout the year with drinks and canap�s courtesy of the local bars and eateries. Previous lively events have included spoken word, poetry, fashion shows and music (including appearances by D.J. Semtex, I Blame Coco, Mr. Hudson & The Library, bits of the Alabama Three, Jimmy Screech and playwright Nick Grosso's Edinburgh Festival show).

flaxon ptootch is an independent, not-for-profit gallery that reflects the diversity of its north London home. Since it was established in 1994, the gallery has become a focal point for local artists and has witnessed the neighbourhood's cultural flowering. It is an unintimidating, accessible and open-fronted space bringing art to all sorts and no appointments necessary.
