Giles Coren and Sandra Howard complete Proms at St Jude’s lineup

Two new star names have been announced this week completing the line-up at the Proms at St Jude’s Literary Festival on 22-23 June.

Gourmet, restaurant reviewer and much-loved writer, Giles Coren, will be in conversation with restaurateur, chef and author, Antonio Carluccio. Giles is a prolific author, with How to Eat Out and Anger Management - for Beginners among his best-known books.

Novelist and one-time model, Sandra Howard, wife of former Conservative Party leader Michael, will be interviewed by broadcaster, presenter and journalist, Penny Smith. Penny is well-known as co-presenter of the Breakfast Show on BBC London, and has formerly broadcast on Classic FM, Radio 2 and GMTV.

These two interviewers join four other renowned personalities, who will be putting questions to famous authors.

Local resident, Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner, Rabbi to the Movement for Reform Judaism, is due to interview Ed Stourton about his book, Cruel Crossing

– Escaping Hitler Across the Pyrenees. Laura is also a broadcaster, who regularly contributes to BBC Radio 4’s Thought for the Day.

Guardian science correspondent and author, Alok Jha, will be hosting the session with Baroness Susan Greenfield, whose first novel – about the 22nd century – will be published at the beginning of July.
