Fractures of the Lens is a show at Burgh House featuring work by two artists who address the emotional effect of current politics in their work.

Curated by art historian Alex Steinacker-Clark, founder of All About Art Podcast, the exhibition brings together the paintings of Russian artist Katya Granova and prints by Londoner Simon Hodgkinson.

Their practices may differ visually, but they are united by "a common interest in post-truth and distortions of history".

Their varied cultural and artistic backgrounds create different approaches to the theme. In his monotypes, Hodgkinson explores the layering of visual information and a search for truth, while Granova combines her brushwork with a moment of objective history captured in enlarged vintage photographs.

The exhibition is sponsored by Slash Arts which supports emerging artists.

Fractures of the Lens runs until August 14 at Peggy Jay Gallery, Burgh House, Hampstead 10am-4pm. www.burghhouse.org.uk/whats-on/exhibitions/fractures-of-the-lens
