UCS Old Boys started the New Year in splendid style, overcoming fellow London League division four (north west) table-toppers Barnet in atrocious conditions on Saturday.
The Old Boys were seeking revenge for a home defeat to Barnet back in November and achieved exactly that with a try in either half.
Despite large puddles on the pitch, UCS's mobile pack took the early initiative when Kiwi stand- off Casey Mee launched a counter-attack from his 22 with flanker-turned-winger Tim Cook.
Cook linked with full-back Dan Stewart, who fed the ball back to Cook 30 metres from the line and he split the defence to score.
Mee landed the conversion to make it 7-0 at half-time.
