Paddington’s Tin-Tin Ho secured two medals at her last European Youth Championships, but admits she departed with mixed feelings.

The teenager, who lives in Upbrook Mews and used to attend St Joseph’s Catholic School in Maida Vale, picked up a silver medal as a losing finalist in the mixed doubles – and she secured a bronze in the singles.

Seeded sixth, she thrashed the third seed Audrey Zarif (France) 4-0 to reach the semi-finals, where she lost 4-0 to Jing Ning (Azerbaijan).

Ho, who was given the Fair Play Award by the European Table Tennis Union, was competing in her last European Championships as a junior.

She said: “I’m happy but I really thought I could have done better in the semi-final match.

“I’ve had a few silvers and bronzes before and I really would have liked to get one gold, so I’m a bit disappointed, but proud as well.”
