Paddington’s Tin-Tin Ho has been called up to the England squad that will compete at next month’s European Championships in Hungary.
The 18-year-old, who lives in Upbrook Mews and used to attend St Joseph’s Catholic School in Maida Vale, will join Paul Drinkhall, Liam Pitchford and Sam Walker – who were all involved in the Rio Olympics – as well as Kelly Sibley at the event in Budapest from October 18 to 23.
She will play in the women’s singles, the women’s doubles alongside Sibley and the mixed doubles with Pitchford, with whom she won a Commonwealth Games silver medal in 2014.
Ho and Sibley have also been selected for the opening match of the 2017 European Team Championships qualifying campaign.
That involves a trip to face the defending champions and Olympic silver medallists, Germany, in Leipzig on Tuesday.
