Temple Fortune Tennis Club entered three representatives into the annual Windsor Triathlon on Sunday, with the trio raising £1,300 for charity.

Chairman Gerard Bendien, head coach Alex Kolesnikow and senior coach Ekow Carboo trained for three months in preparation for the race – the UK’s premier triathlon event, which featured 2,000 athletes and was in aid of the Macmillan charity.

The Temple Fortune contingent – who are based at the tennis club on Bridge Lane – signed up for the sprint triathlon, which started at 6am with a 750m swim in the River Thames, followed by a 30km cycle ride over a hilly course and then a gruelling 5km run around Windsor Castle.

Kolesnikow finished 27th overall, clocking one hour 32 minutes 11 seconds, and Ekow Carboo came 65th (1:37:12), while Bendien was 103rd (1:41:36).

Meanwhile, Temple Fortune are running a tennis summer camp for juniors aged four to 13 years old from July 4 until August 12.

Contact Kolesnikow on 07746516494 for further information if your child would like to attend. Squash and bowls facilities are also available at the club.
