The latest news from the Haringey Aquatics swimming club

Continuing what has been a record-breaking season of swimming for Haringey Aquatics, no fewer than four of the club’s competitive swimmers have qualified for this year’s Summer Nationals.

Tottenham’s Shakil Giordani and Crouch End’s Max Hanson will both be competing at the British Summer Championships held at the end of July at Ponds Forge International Pool in Sheffield.

Haringey Aquatics will also be represented at the English Summer National Championships held in Sheffield at the beginning of August, where the next 20 swimmers in the British ranking system are selected.

Giordani, 15, will compete in 50m freestyle, 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly; Alex Vonckx, 15, will compete in 100m and 200m backstroke as well as 200m individual medley; and Renat Samur, also 15, will compete in 50m freestyle and 50m butterfly.
