South Hampstead junior school’s girls beat all of the boys to win gold at the London Schools ski race on the Welwyn dry slope.
The team of Momo Daniel, Freya Gordon, Milly Whitmore Jones and Maddy Fairfull finished nearly six seconds clear to take the gold in the Year 2-4 age group of the slalom event – and they also narrowly missed out on a place in the semi-finals in the dual slalom competition.
There were individual honours too, with Fairfull and Daniel securing first and second place in the girls’ section.
