Haringey Rhinos' head coach Craig Sweetlove was pleased with his side's clinical finishing as they thrashed bottom side Uxbridge 98-7 at home in Herts/Middlesex Division One.
Man of the match Gareth Kirk scored seven tries, while Ben Kelly, Ben Watkins and Tom Shirt also stood out as the Rhinos won the second half 57-0.
Sweetlove said: “We were not as prepared for the game as I would have liked but the players showed how dangerous we can be with ball in hand.
“We have been guilty of not taking our chances when presented with them in our other games. However, on this occasion we took every single one.”
The victory took Haringey up to third place in the table but they remain four points off the top.
n Hendon were defeated 33-27 away against Old Actonians in Herts/Middlesex Division One, seeing a late try disallowed as they fought back for the second time in a see-saw encounter.
The Dons initially fell 12-0 behind but battled back and took a 17-12 lead into the break after converted tries from Chris Kyingi and Dave Francis and a penalty from captain Cian Hynes.
The pendulum swung the other way as Actonians’ pack pushed its way over the line on three occasions, giving them a 33-24 advantage, with Kyingi crossing the whitewash again at the other end.
Francis then had an important try controversially disallowed and, although Hynes kicked a late penalty, there was no time for the visitors to push for a winning try.
Elsewhere in the division, UCS Old Boys went down 66-5 at Royston, with winger Jermaine Barnes scoring their only points.
