Greenlands Lane outfit lost 24-15 at Finsbury Park last Saturday

Hendon will hope to clean up at home to Staines on Saturday as they look for a swift return to winning ways in Herts/Middlesex One.

The Greenlands Lane club saw a six-game winning run come to an end last weekend with a 24-15 defeat at title hopefuls Finsbury Park.

Hendon trailed 12-10 at the break in that game, despite Donal O’Sullivan crossing for a try and Cian Hynes adding five points from the tee.

Unable to claw back the deficit in the second half, the Greenlands Lane club were at least able to have the final say as Rossa Dooley’s try was the final score of the game.

That gave Hendon a chance to move to within seven points of Park and claim a losing bonus point with a successful conversion, but sadly it was missed.

The Greenlands Lane club will hope to move on swiftly from that defeat and complete the double over Staines, having beaten them 22-17 in November.

Hendon will hope to get back on the winning trail this Saturday.
