Sarries host West Country club in final regular season game before embarking on play-off campaign
Saracens will hope to continue to generate momentum ahead of their upcoming Aviva Premiership play-off campaign when they host Gloucester on Saturday.
The north Londoners welcome the West Country outfit to Allianz Park this weekend for the final game of the regular season.
Sarries have already made sure of home advantage in the play-off semi-finals, with either Wasps or Newcastle Falcons the visitors on May 19 at 12.30pm.
But prop Vincent Koch insists Mark McCall’s men will still be striving for another win this weekend as they look to end the regular campaign in perfect fashion.
“The boys have worked really hard for a home semi and I think the guys deserve it,” the South Africa international told the club website.
“Going into the play-offs we’ve definitely got our spark again and hopefully we can deliver.”
Koch returned to action for Saracens last weekend in a 51-14 win away to bottom club London Irish.
The 28-year-old had been out since February with an ankle injury, and though he admits there were a few worries ahead of his return, Koch is glad to be back.
“Going into the game I was quite nervous coming back but the boys definitely helped me and it was nice to play again,” he added.
“I was a bit rusty but game time will help with that. It was a nice win and I’m looking forward to next week.”
