Turnpike Lane’s Brandon Abraham is hoping to land a seat in the Junior Ginetta series this month.

The 15-year-old Highgate Wood School pupil will go up against 59 other hopefuls to try and earn a fully-funded season on the British Tour Car support series, which is televised on ITV 4.

Abraham must prove his fitness, media skills and ability to drive the 120mph, 1.8-litre Ginetta Junior G40 and dad Paul said: “This has the potential to change Brandon’s life and set him on the road to a career in motorsport.

“Brandon will be working with fitness trainer Ndi Amaechi, from Fitfast UK Soccercise to get prepared for the challenge, and will also be working with Bradley Smith, of Mectech Motorsports, to bring him up to speed with the G40.”

Technical issues hit the hopes of Abraham, who is sponsored by Castles of Crouch End, in the Superone British Championship as he finished 25th out of 71.
