Kentish Town schoolchildren were amongst 125 under-14-year-olds who received tennis tuition from former England No.1 Tim Henman, as part of the celebrations of Wimbledon’s 125th anniversary.
The pupils from Torriano Junior School were coached for two hours by Henman (pictured below) at the practice Courts at Wimbledon, before visiting the All England Club and museum.
“Today really proved the power of sport to help at all levels,” said Henman.
“Some of these children have never even picked up a tennis racquet before but hopefully this can encourage them to achieve their goals, whatever they may be.”
