Highgate Harriers’ Shaun Dixon hacked almost 10 minutes off his personal best in Sunday’s London Marathon, finishing in under two and a half hours to take 22nd place out of over 37,000 runners.
Dixon clocked 2:25:04, beating his previous best of 2:34:41, while over-70 veteran Roger Low maintained his record of taking part in every London Marathon, posting 4:25:44 in his 36th event.
Guillaume Cribier finished in 2:34:42 and Ben Noad went round in 2:42:52, while James Johnson (2:41:11), Marcus Green (2:45:51), Mathew Pointon (2:48:33) and Damien Lane (2:57:24) were also inside the three-hour mark.
Sara Black clocked 3:14:49 ahead of Joanne Pemberton (3:22:09) and Sarah Mulryan (3:44:59).
Meanwhile, in the first UK Youth Development League meeting at Parliament Hill Fields, Clara Mee won the Under-15 girls’ long jump (4.27m) and Dominic Ogbechie won the Under-15 boys’ high jump (1.75m).
