Highgate Harriers Simeon Williamson and Alice Keane came away with medals from the South of England Indoor Athletics Championships at the Lee Valley Centre, Edmonton, over the weekend.

In the senior men's 60m sprint final, Williamson collected silver in 6.70 seconds behind winner Craig Pickering, who broke Williamson's record mark by clocking 6.56 seconds.

And in the under-17 women's 1,500m race, Keane (pictured) held on to grab the bronze medal in five minutes 34.67 seconds.

Meanwhile, Eucalypta Bradley reached the under-15 girls' shot put final, finishing fifth in a new personal best of 9.12metres.

She also jumped 4.19m in the long-jump for 16th spot. Hannah Rose jumped 3.51m to come 22nd in the same event. She also ran a personal best of 10.53secs in the 60m hurdles semi-final.

In the under-20s men's 800m final, Atak Ding (2mins 4secs) came fifth.

In the under-17 men's 60m sprint, Eric Guei was sixth in his semi-final in 7.51secs after clocking 7.45secs in his heat.

Elsewhere, Harriers' Astrid Wingler won the North of Thames Cross-Country Championships at Kingsbury on Saturday. Wingler, who was also the first over-35 veteran in the race, ran 25mins 52secs for the 6,000-metre course. She finished over a minute clear of Jo Singer (Victoria Park), who beat her in the Middlesex Championships earlier this year.

Annabelle Lovejoy (31mins 1secs) was 13th, one place ahead of the second under-17 runner Aneira Rose-McClew (31mins 10secs).

Chris Beecham (53mins 52secs) was second of the 159 finishers in the Boxhill Fell Race near Dorking, also on Saturday.

Joseph Lowe (60mins 59secs) was 20th while Joanna Carritt (62mins) came 27th and was the first woman home.
