Hampstead & Westminster’s ladies had to settle for a disappointing 2-2 draw in the Women’s Conference East after losing a second-half lead at home against struggling Maidenhead on Saturday.
The visitors are lying in the bottom two but Cheryl Valentine gave them the lead in the second minute at Paddington Recreation Ground.
Fleur Horner levelled two minutes later and Joyce Esser put the hosts ahead in the 58th minute with a fine reverse-stick strike from the top of the D – but Valentine equalised for Maidenhead, leaving H&W fourth in the table.
