England’s women’s team will visit Hampstead Cricket Club on Sunday to put on a masterclass for female players before taking on the club’s Under-21 men’s team.
The England squad will put on an hour’s coaching session from midday at Hampstead’s home ground on Lymington Road.
Any women and girls who are interested in the game are welcome to turn up on the day in a pair of trainers and take part. They do not need to bring their own equipment.
England’s ladies will then face Hampstead’s men’s Under-21 team from 1.30pm, and there will be a jazz band and a barbecue for spectators to enjoy.
Hampstead chairman Jim Carter, the actor who plays the butler Mr Carson in Downton Abbey, told Ham&High Sport: “It’s a celebration of women’s cricket at Hampstead.”
