Hampstead’s girls played their first ever match on Sunday and emerged victorious over South Hampstead.
The match was played in a 12-over Gubby Allen format, with both teams starting on 200 and losing five runs for each wicket lost.
With Hampstead vice-captain Stella Ormandy hitting a six and a four in the first over, the hosts made 84 with the loss of only one wicket to finish with 279.
Good bowling then kept SH’s score down and captured regular wickets, with Amber Milligan and captain Shravani Philpot each taking one wicket for just two runs as the visitors finished on 72-7 for a total score of 237.
