ON THE PERFORMANCE AGAINST BLACKBURN ROVERS: "In the first half we had some excellent chances. We had good possession of the ball and with the chances we created, we maybe should have decided the game in that first half.
"Then the equaliser came and that meant the second half was much more even and as the game went on, there were less and less chances and it was always going to be a draw towards the end."
ON FAILING TO SCORE A SECOND GOAL: "It was a case of not being more assertive in the final shot. Football is all about converting chances and we were in front of goal on a number of occasions with some real opportunities and it was just about not being decisive enough in that final finish."
on the inability to string a runs of wins toghether: "It bothers me a lot. I don't accept it and I don't understand it. After the cup competitions, we still have league matches left which perhaps don't seem that much important in terms of the table.
"But we want to perform, and maintain our performances, and try to make sure that the players put a maximum effort in the matches."
ON BRINGING IN players AS soon as the transfer window reopens: "It is advisable as the earlier new signings get here the easier it is to prepare the team.
