The Blues will be hoping to continue their excellent form in the Bostik Premier over the next week

Wingate & Finchley will look to get over their FA Cup exit when they entertain Bostik Premier rivals Worthing on Saturday at the Maurice Rebak Stadium.

Keith Rowland watched his team take Hemel Hempstead Town all the way in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.

The Blues claimed a 0-0 draw on Saturday away to the National League South side Hemel Hempstead and so a replay was required.

Wingate looked to be on their way to a cup upset at the halfway stage of Tuesday’s replay with Reece Beckles-Richards firing them in front after five minutes.

But Jordan Parkes levelled for the visitors in the 58th minute and Alex Osborn struck in extra time to send Blues out following a 2-1 loss.

It was tough to take for Rowland and his team, but they’ll look to respond at home to Worthing this weekend before travelling to the new boys Brightlingsea Regent next Tuesday (September 26).
