The Coles Park club were hoping to move into the play-off places on Tuesday, but the cold snap hit their hopes

Haringey Borough were left frustrated after Tuesday’s Bostik North game at Ware was called off minutes before the kick-off.

The two sets of teams were announced at Wodson Park, but the game was confirmed as postponed due to a frozen pitch at 7.50pm.

It means Tom Loizou and his squad had a wasted trip to Hertfordshire and were not afforded the chance to move into the play-off positions.

Saturday’s hard-fought 1-0 win at home to Brentwood Town, thanks to a Michael Ademiluyi goal, saw the north Londoners close to within a point of sixth place.

Haringey will aim to move above Maldon & Tiptree this weekend, but they can expect a tough test away to leaders Hornchurch.

It is Borough’s only game over the next seven days and they will look to make the most of it.

When they hosted Urchins last month, Hornchurch won 2-1, but Haringey will aim to achieve some type of revenge on Saturday.
