EVERTON V ARSENAL
BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE
KICK OFF: 8PM
If Robin van Persie scores at Goodison Park tonight, he will equal his best ever tally of 13 goals in a campaign.
The Netherlands attacker - set for his 25th game of the season, equally another personal best since arriving from Feyenoord in 2004 - has been praised by his manager, Arsene Wenger, ahead of a vital clash against sixth-placed Everton, who are five points behind the Gunners in the Barclays Premier League table.
"Having him fit is the good news of the season. We had lost Robin in the second half of last season, people forget," said Wenger.
"This year he has had a sustained run and you can see when he has that he scores goals. He makes goals as well. For me, in his position, that's as important as scoring goals."
Eduardo, though, won't be returning to first team action for the first time since his sickening leg break at Birmingham last February.
The Croatia international played the full 90 minutes of the reserves' 2-2 draw at Stoke City last week, but Wenger added: "He needs one or two more games.
"We will maybe organise a game behind closed doors next week and he should also play for Croatia in an international friendly. After that, he should be ready."
Arsenal are unbeaten in the league for two months, but the Toffees have also not tasted defeat in all competitions since slipping 3-2 at home to Aston Villa at the beginning of December.
Everton manager Dave Moyes, whose side were beaten 3-1 by Arsenal in October, believes his team can continue that run tonight: "I think the way we are playing is very good. The players are doing very well, if you look at the run we have been on and how well we have been doing that is great.
"I think we are a better team than we were this time last year and I think we have a lot of things going for us just now.
