Kroenke ups his stake in Arsenal as he nears tipping point

Stan Kroenke has increased his stake in Arsenal again, according to the club.

The US sports tycoon has upped his holding to 28.7 per cent after buying a further 80 for £8,500 a share.

The US sports tycoon has upped his holding to 28.7 per cent after buying a further 80 for £8,500 a share.

If he reaches 29.9 per cent he would be forced to make an offer for the remaining shares.

In a statement to the Stock Exchange, Arsenal Holdings PLC said it had received notification that he had acquired increased his stake to 17,867 ordinary shares.

Kroenke is now comfortably ahead of Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov, who own approximate 25 per cent.
