Tomas Rosicky has been ruled out of the Czech Republic's squad for Euro 2008.

The Arsenal midfielder has been out of action since January with a hamstring injury - and despite intensieve treatment both at Shenley and in Prague, he has been forced to admit defeat.

"I must announce that I will not be capable of playing at Euro 2008. My injury requires surgery which I will undergo at the start of next week," Rosicky told a Czech television station. "There is no other solution to the problem than undergoing surgery.
