2005:

Spanish winger Jose Antonio Reyes is the victim of a hoax by a Madrid-based radio station. A presenter on 'Copa' calls Reyes pretending to be Real Madrid sporting director Emilio Butragueno and gets the Gunner to admit he is unhappy at Highbury. Even his mother Mari claims his son is fed-up with London - and wants a move to the Santiago Bernebeu.

The Madrid club immediately issue a statement condemning the hoax - and denying any interest in Reyes.

Arsene Wenger also backs him: "I think he is very upset with the way he has been treated by the station. He is well integrated here, we have a good Spanish group and he is liked by everybody.
