Arsene Wenger admits he is eyeing young French forward Thierry Henry.

The France U21 striker, currently at AS Monaco, has reportedly signed a pre-contract with Real Madrid. Wenger, however, wants the 19-year-old, saying: "I would have no fears at all about playing him in the Premiership. Young strikers are fairly rare in this country at present." Watch this space... In the league, Dennis Bergkamp picks up his third man of the match award in succession in the 3-1 win over Everton.

"Every time Dennis comes in the dressing- room, he has a bottle of champagne with him. He has enough to open a shop," jokes Wenger.

Meanwhile, defender Andy Linighan, 34, moves to Crystal Palace for a nominal fee.
