Arsenal Ladies see off Chelsea and go nine points clear in Premier League

Arsenal Ladies moved nine points clear at the top of the FA Womens Premier League with a 4-1 win over third-placed Chelsea. Kelly Smith and Karen Carney made it 2-0 before the break and an own goal from Chelsea goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain extended that

Arsenal Ladies moved nine points clear at the top of the FA Womens Premier League with a 4-1 win over third-placed Chelsea.

Kelly Smith and Karen Carney made it 2-0 before the break and an own goal from Chelsea goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain extended that lead before Dunia Susi pulled one back for the Blues. Alex Scott added a fourth for Arsenal who have yet to drop a point in their 13 league games played so far. Everton, in second place, have won all ten of their games this season. The two sides meet next month.

Vic Akers' side travel to Middlesbrough on Sunday in the FA Cup, kick off noon.
