Arsene Wenger still believes Arsenal can derail Manchester United's bid for a second successive Premier League title - and reignite their own hopes - with an unlikely win at Old Trafford.
The Arsenal boss suggested this week his side would still finish champions after United only managed a 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough last Sunday.
Wenger insisted: "I still believe we will finish champions. The result [at Middlesbrough] helped a lot. If United had won, I would have thought we could not [win the league] but, now, I still believe we'll do it."
Arsenal will have to somehow find their early season form to do it, though. They were humiliated 4-0 at Old Trafford in the FA Cup in February and the Gunners' travelling fans will demand a much-improved performance.
United won nine on the trot before the stalemate at the Riverside and in Cristiano Ronaldo have the outstanding player in European football.
The Portuguese winger has been in scintillating form with 27 goals in the league alone. Carlos Tevez (12) and Wayne Rooney (11) have supported him ably while United's defence has conceded just 17 times in 33 league games.
And Arsenal will be quietly confident of all three points after learning that United's first-choice centre-half duo of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic could be absent through injury.
