Char Blackwood's effort from outside the area beat the goalkeeper, only for a Petts Wood player to stick her hand out on the goal line, prompting the referee to point to the penalty spot and send the culprit off.
Bard, Hampstead's captain, made no mistake and scored her first goal for four years to send her side through to the next round.
