Hampstead Women 2
A last-minute goal from Ellie Bard helped Hampstead Women progress to the Russell Cup quarter-finals on Sunday.
The visitors took the lead when Val Toro's cross was met by Claire Arnold to head home at the near post.
The lead didn't last though as Petts Wood hit back through a 25-yard strike to level it at half-time.
Hampstead remained camped in their opposition half, and finally made it count in the dying moments.
Char Blackwood's effort from outside the area beat the goalkeeper, only for a Petts Wood player to stick her hand out on the goal line, prompting the referee to point to the penalty spot and send the culprit off.
Bard, Hampstead's captain, made no mistake and scored her first goal for four years to send her side through to the next round.
Hampstead: Mifsud, Ben-Atar, Patel, Gray, Trigg, Bard, Freeman, Wragg, Blackmore, Toro, Arnold.
