Garfield Struthers' team ended a five-match run without a victory on Saturday

Hornsey host Winchmore Hill on Saturday hoping to make it back-to-back wins in the Middlesex County Division Two.

Garfield Struthers' side had been on a poor run of form before they won by seven wickets at Wycombe House last weekend.

Prior to the much-needed triumph, Hornsey had gone five games without a victory and this saw them slide down the table.

An impressive bowling display inspired a return to form with Bhasker Patel taking 5-56 from 25 overs

He was backed up by Arthur George (2-17) and Lesbourne Edwards (2-10) to dismiss Wycombe House for only 148.

It proved a comfortable total to chase with opener Tayo Walbrugh smashing 77 off 63 balls.

James Bull added 40 as the pair put on 116 for the first wicket and Hornsey finished the game in the 30th over and sit seventh in the standings.

Struthers' team have 48 points, but know another win on Saturday could see them return to the top half of the table again.
