Swimmers claim host of medals in regional event
Camden Swiss Cottage swimmers put in some strong performances at the London Regional Championships at the London Aquatics Centre and Crystal Palace.
Alex Borisov, 16, claimed four golds in the 200m breaststroke, 200m butterfly and 200m and 400m medley, plus silver in the 100m breaststroke.
Ella McEver, 12, won her 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events, the longer by seven seconds, and also took silver in the 400m medley and bronze in the 200m butterfly.
Ally Larsen, 17, showed versatility to take gold in the 200m and 400m medley, going under the five-minute mark for the first time in the longer event, and added 100m butterfly silver and bronze over 50m.

Jackson Olin, 15, powered to wins in the 100m butterfly and 200m backstroke, while taking silver in the 100m backstroke and James Slade, 20, added another gold in the 200m medley.
Brandon Biss, 12, took silver in the 1,500m freestyle and 200m backstroke and bronze in the 100m backstroke, while Lauren Brantley, 15, won two silvers in the 50m and 100m butterfly.

Benji Moore sprinted to silver in the 50m butterfly, plus bronze in the 100m butterfly and 50m freestyle, and Amir Castronovo, 14, raced to silver in the 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 200m.
Julia Murphy, 14, claimed silver in the 100m freestyle and bronze in the 50m freestyle and 100m backstroke, while Maddy Hookway, 18, won silver in the 100m breaststroke and William Chen, 13, took bronze in the 50m and 100m backstroke
Completing the Camden Swiss Cottage haul with bronze medals were 12-year-old Leo He (50m butterfly), 13-year-olds Gabriele Giovannoni (1,500m freestyle) and Alex Chen (200m breaststroke) and Ann Schmitt, 17, in the 200m backstroke.
Camden’s elite swimmers now turn their sights towards the National Championships in Sheffield in August.
