It was a good day for the bowlers and a brutal match for the batsmen at Brondesbury’s Harman Drive ground – and in the end the hosts suffered a second successive defeat in Division Two of the Middlesex County League.
Bron captain Adam Wilson returned fine figures of 5-15, while Ben Claypole claimed 3-19 as Finchley were inserted and bowled out for just 86, with opener Sumit Jadav (22) the visitors’ top scorer.
But Javon Abraham was even more destructive with the ball, taking 7-24, while Hassan Khan (3-21) picked up the remaining wickets as Brondesbury were skittled for 47, with Tom Shaw (14) the only batsman to reach double figures.
