Blues picked up two wins in knockout football over the past week
Wingate & Finchley return to the Bostik Premier this weekend when they entertain Folkestone Invicta after two cups wins in the past week.
On Tuesday, the Blues progressed to the fourth round of the Velocity Trophy after a 3-2 win at home to Bostik South side Sittingbourne thanks to goals from Nathan Mavila, Reece Beckles Richards and Afolabi Obafemi.
That followed on from a 1-0 win at league rivals Metropolitan Police in the FA Trophy, with Sean Cronin scoring the winner from the spot.
Wingate head into the weekend 11th in the table, but have three games in hand over MetPolice in the final play-off position and are just nine points back.
The Blues have only lost at home once in the league this season, which came in their first game of the term at the Maurice Rebak Stadium against Harrow Borough, annd manager Keith Rowland will hope his side avoid adding to that this weekend.
