Arsenal enter a pivotal week of their season as they return from the International Break this weekend, facing Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby, Bayern Munich midweek in the Champions League, and Chelsea away the following Sunday.
The Gunners have done a brilliant job to position themselves at the top of both the Premier League and Champions League tables with their early season form, but the next week could be defining heading into a busy festive period.
Win these games and confidence will be sky high and the lead sustained, lose too many points and doubt may start to creep in.
Up first, Tottenham at the Emirates at 4.30pm on Sunday.
Under new manager Thomas Frank, they’ve been inconsistent, yet sit in fifth place and have a win away to Manchester City under their belt this season.
Form goes out the window for the derby, and with a few more injuries piling up, it’ll be an important test, especially with Frank’s willingness to go defensive in the bigger games.
In midweek, it's Bayern Munich, one of the three sides, including Arsenal, in the Champions League with a 100 per cent record through four games.
Bayern have looked deadly this season, winning 16 out of 17 matches off the back of their electric front three of Harry Kane, Luis Diaz and Michael Olise have been electric.
While Arsenal’s defence has gotten all of the plaudits this season, it’ll be interesting to see how they fair on the attacking end.
Against elite sides, there tends to be more space and more opportunity to counter, so it’ll be a good chance for the attacking players to showcase their importance.
Capping off the week is Chelsea, who currently sit third, at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are mounting a charge in the league this season, so if Arsenal are really on track to win it all this season, a result there would be a big statement.
Often, seasons feel like they come down to pivotal weeks, often in March or April when the league and European competition start to slip away.
While nothing is over after this week of games, it'll be a huge indicator of where Arsenal's ambitions will lie for the rest of the season.
