Youngsters presented the fruits of their labour at a Halloween pumpkin showdown.
The creative kids carved their efforts at home before entering into the annual Steele’s Village pumpkin contest at The Legal Cafe, Haverstock Hill, last Thursday.
Yana Mihaylova, 10, landed top prize for her impressive crowned pumpkin, complete with bloodied knife lodged in its head, to beat 16 other entries. Cindy Zhang, 14, came in second place, while Grace Hollamby, 10, took third prize.
Lynn Whiting, chairman of the Steele’s Village Business Association, said: “They were great, they were wonderful, they did some amazing things – as they do every year.”
Prizes included a trip to The London Dungeon, while non-winners received chocolates and special toothbrushes.
