A cultural centre welcomed a world-leading professor for its final-ever history lecture before the closure of its home.
The London Jewish Cultural Centre (LJCC) hosted Prof Robert Wistrich, the world’s foremost scholar on the history of anti-Semitism, to Ivy House, in North End Road, Golders Green, earlier this month.
Prof Wistrich gave an illuminating two-hour talk on the history of anti-Semitism in France in light of the recent terror attacks in Paris.
The academic is Neuburger professor of European and Jewish history at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Ivy House will close in July as part of the LJCC’s merger with JW3 community centre, in Finchley Road.
