TWO young women have been robbed in frightening incidents in different parts of Hampstead.

At around 11pm on Sunday a 29-year-old was threatened with an army flick knife and punched in her stomach when she was attacked by a man on Ornan Road.

The woman had tried to run away when she noticed the robber was following her, but he caught up with her and pulled her handbag from her shoulder. When she tried to resist he pulled out the knife and assaulted her.

Last Thursday at around 10.30pm a 35-year-old woman was robbed on Quex Road when a man grabbed her and held his hand over her mouth. She managed to scream and threw her mobile phone on the floor before her attacker fled.

The suspect in the first robbery was a white man, aged around 20-years-old, 5ft 6in tall. He had short blonde hair, blue eyes and freckles on his face and wore blue jeans and a black jacket.

The suspect in the Quex Road robbery was an Asian man around 6ft 1in tall. He was casually dressed and had a rucksack on his back.

Anyone with information is urged to call Camden police on 020-7404 1212 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
