The attack happened at 2.30am on Tuesday April 6 in Hewitt Road.
The women, both in their 20s, were walking along the road when they were attacked from behind by a group of girls.
Both were kicked and punched and had a substance sprayed in their faces.
One woman was robbed of her handbag.
