HARINGEY COUNCIL has sold Highgate's Morven House because it is 'surplus to requirements'. Fair enough. But why all the secrecy? The Highgate Society, which has brought the council to book before for failing to be as up front as it could be on planning and property issues, fear that the beautiful Georgian house could become just another development of modernised flats. That would be a shame, but then again, Haringey has seldom shown any remorse about selling off Highgate's 'family silver'.
