HOW LONG HAVE YOU LIVED IN THE AREA?
I've lived in Belsize Park for three and a half years, but I've been in Hampstead since I was four. I used to live in Frognal, near Hampstead Village.
WHAT DO YOU MOST LIKE ABOUT THE AREA?
Loads of things within walking distance - pubs, bars and restaurants. It's got a bit of a country feel, close to the heart of London.
WHAT IS THE WORST THING?
Maybe a little more greenery, but if you want to live near central London, I suppose that's what you've got to contend with.
WHAT IS MISSING?
A Prezzo, of course!
WHICH LOCAL RESTAURANT IS YOUR FAVOURITE?
I have always, from a very young age, loved Frascati - it's a family thing. It's a nice local Italian. I also like the Retsina, a Greek place which has a really nice atmosphere and great service. I really, really love the Japanese restaurant Jin Kichi, but I haven't been in a while. Hopefully I'll get back there soon.
and YOUR FAVOURITE LOCAL PUB?
I like to keep it nearer to home, usually The Garden Gate. Proximity is high on my agenda, and I feel comfortable in there.
WHAT DO YOU DO IN THE AREA AT WEEKENDS?
If I'm not working, simple things to help me relax - going for a drink or to a restaurant, maybe walking up the high street.
WHERE IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU TWIN HAMPSTEAD WITH, AND WHY?
I always think of it as a bit of a nonsense, some plaque saying that you're twinned with somewhere in the backwaters of nowhere; I don't think I would bother unless I knew there was a benefit to it.
IF YOU HAD A MILLION POUNDS TO SPEND IN A DAY, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
I would like to buy a site for a Prezzo in Hampstead, but for a million pounds you probably wouldn't get a very good one.
4x4s OR PUBLIC TRANSPORT?
I hate the tube - 4x4 all the way. It's all about comfort and privacy.
WHERE WAS YOUR LAST HOLIDAY?
I went to Miami for six days last month. I generally can only take short breaks, but quite truthfully I'm always dying to get back. I truly love my life in London.
WHEN DID YOU LAST GET A PARKING TICKET?
It's a regular occurrence. My office is in central London, so if I'm two seconds late to a meter they're all over it.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE HAMPSTEAD ANECDOTE?
Being caught by a policeman smoking in a graveyard when I was younger. We were running out and we were being chased. It felt like we were in a heist movie. Nothing lately really comes close.
