The Whittington Hospital will receive almost £3million in extra funding to support A&E services over the coming winter.
The government announced on Monday that the hospital, in Magdala Avenue, Highgate, has been awarded £2.96million of a £500million national funding pot to support Accident and Emergency services.
The money can be used to employ more consultants to increase A&E capacity, to improve community services to prevent A&E admissions, and to better link health and social care to prevent re-admission.
Government minister Lynne Featherstone, MP for Hornsey and Wood Green, welcomed the funding.
