With huge cuts planned, the next government must abolish all NHS trusts in England. In London the new government must set up four large primary care trusts for north, south, east and west, each area having one large general hospital trust and one large mental health trust, each of them providing services for two million residents.
As your editor's comment recently stated, 80,000 people attend the Whittington A&E department each year. London needs good NHS services in all areas.
I have now retired from the NHS after 30 years and my hope is that it remains for future generations.
