An up-and-coming jewellery designer from West Hampstead has been awarded a scholarship to help further her blossoming career.
Sophie Stamp, 31, was one of four craftspeople selected from 400 applicants by the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) to take part in a three-day master-class on the Shetland Islands.
The course will be run by Rod Kelly, a renowned craftsman who described Ms Stamp as “one of the outstanding graduates of the last few years”.
Ms Stamp designs and makes contemporary silver and gold jewellery at Kingsgate Studios, in West Hampstead.
She was presented with her award by the chairman of the Royal Warrant Holders Association, Nick Farrow, at a special awards lunch held at the London Hilton Hotel earlier this month.
