A West Hampstead coffee shop was evacuated on Saturday after a small fire broke out, damaging the front of the store.

Smoke billowed out of the shopfront as frightened coffee drinkers at Starbucks in West End Lane left the building.

Three fire engines from West Hampstead and Paddington Fire Stations were called to the shop at 12.15pm on Saturday to tackle the blaze, which damaged the shop front and an electronic sign.

The fire was put out just after 1pm. No-one was hurt.
